GEM INSTITUTE OF PARAMEDICAL SCIENCE was started in the academic year 2019 – 2020 and is affiliate to The Dr.M.G.R.Medical University, Chennai.
Infrastructure Details
The college has 6 spacious classrooms which well lighted and well ventilated with comfortable seating.
There are 8 laboratories namely nursing foundation lab, advanced nursing lab, nutrition lab, computer lab, anatomy & physiology lab, community health nursing lab, child health nursing lab and maternal nursing lab which are well equipped to allow the students practice and become confident in doing various nursing procedures, so that they don’t face any difficulty in doing the procedures on the patients while going for clinical practice.
The college has a very spacious library stalked with about 3500 books and 15 national and international journals. It is very useful for the teachers to prepare their lessons and provides additional learning facilities for the students.
The hostel is situated in the same campus. It provides a safe and comfortable stay for the students who are monitored 24 hours by a residential warden.
There are 4 buses which are used for transporting the students for clinical postings.
The college has a 200 bedded parent hospital for clinical practice. The college also has affiliation with other hospitals like Government Medical College Hospital, Coimbatore, Masonic Medical Center for Children, Kongu Mana Nala Arakatalai, urban and rural community centers for additional clinical practice.
